The Gates Cambridge Scholarships

New USA Scholars 2008

Following interviews held in Annapolis, Maryland, on 8 and 9 February 2008, the Gates Cambridge Trust is delighted to announce that scholarships for study at the University of Cambridge have been awarded to the 45 American students listed below.

635 students from the United States applied for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship this year and 119 of them were interviewed at St John’s College and the United States Naval Academy.

The Trust is grateful to the President and Staff of St John’s College and to the Superintendent and Staff of the United States Naval Academy for the use of their excellent facilities and for the invaluable support they give the Trust to enable the interviews to be held so efficiently.

The Trust greatly appreciates the work of those who served on the interview panels.

A second round of interviews for candidates from countries other than the USA will be held in early May 2008. A complete list of all Gates Cambridge Scholars will be published in October 2008 once all the new Scholars have had their places confirmed and have arrived in Cambridge.
